Welcome to Washington Bird Year
This site is documenting the efforts of one person to photograph a target list of bird species along with the habitat that they were found in within Washington State. The target list is the same studied by the Seattle Audubon Society Master Birder Class of 2014/2015. This personal project goal hopes to inspire and educate birders and non-birders, alike.
The 2016 Project Conclusion
I successfully photographed 287 birds within the year of 2016 and birded 170 days out of 366. I would like to thank all my friends and family who helped me find birds and supported me during this year.
Continued work 2017-2019
I plan to keep this website going through 2019 and will continue to add birds.
